How to get there

Buro Stedelijk is shaped by a rotating curatorial model, with a new curator appointed every three years. Established in 2022 by the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam following conversations with the Rijksakademie and De Ateliers, Buro's initial direction was set by founding curators Azu Nwagbogu and Rita Ouédraogo. From 2023, Rita Ouédraogo steered Buro Stedelijk through its formative years, developing it into a vital space connecting artistic experimentation with the city and its communities. Under her direction, Buro realized over 80 manifestations with more than 250 collaborators, laying a rich foundation of shared authorship that continues to guide our work today.
